Your Cat’s Translator
Hi, I’m Kiersten; Your cat’s translator
I’ve always been drawn to cats, not just because they’re adorable, but because they’re complex, misunderstood, and often trying to communicate in ways we don’t always recognize.
Over time, I started noticing a pattern: cats are constantly being misinterpreted. A scared cat is labeled as “aggressive.” A stressed cat is called “difficult.” In reality, they’re just trying to communicate the only way they know how.
And honestly….I get that
I’ve always felt like I could relate to that experience; being misunderstood, having your behavior interpreted the wrong way, and wishing someone would take the time to understand what’s really going on. That perspective is what pushed me to look deeper into feline behavior and communication.
As a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with over six years of hands-on experience, I’ve worked closely with animals in a fast-paced clinical setting. While I valued that experience, I eventually found myself feeling less fulfilled. I cared deeply about the animals I was helping, but I didn’t always have the time or space to truly connect with them or support them in the way I wanted to.
That realization is what led me to feline behavior.
Now, I get to slow down, understand what cats are actually trying to communicate, and create real, lasting changes in their lives. I’m fear free elite certified and trained in feline behavior through the Animal Behavior Institute, and I also work hands on at a cat cafe.
I’ve worked with everything from confident cuddle bugs to absolute chaos gremlins and I genuinely love helping both.
My approach is practical, realistic, and tailored to your home. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice or quick fixes. Instead, focus on understanding the root of the behavior and creating a plan that works for both you and your cat.
I especially enjoy helping:
New cat owners who want to start off on the right foot.
Multi-cat households trying to create balance.
Cats struggling with behavior concerns like litter box issues, stress, or conflict.
At the end of the day, this work gives me a level of fulfillment I hadn’t had before and that’s exactly why I care so much about helping you and your cat succeed.
Because when communication improves, everything else gets easier.
